DESCRIPTION:14th July- Bexhill Caring Community\, Jackie Haggarty\nPlease come to our next meeting: 14th July 2026 2-4pm \nLocation– BEXHILL SCOUTS HALL\, Wainwright Road\, Bexhill-on-Sea TN39 3UR \nAll are welcome to our monthly meeting. We have a different speaker each month\, with a few favourite speakers returning and some interesting new speakers. Plenty of chat about your diabetes and other things\, information\, a raffle and tea & biscuits. \nIf you’re interested please come along as our guest\, your first visit is free. \nJULY MEETING- 14th July 2026 2-4pm \nAbout Bexhill Caring Community…“We are a team of staff dedicated to offering a multitude of services for the elderly\, housebound and lonely of all ages\, including volunteer befrienders\, a free home library service for the housebound\, the sale of equipment aids and form filling. We also have an approved list of self-employed outworkers for odd jobs\, cleaning and gardening as well as domiciliary carers. We also offer a Community Car service for medical appointments as well as our Dial-A-Ride bus for trips around town. I have finally got ethics approval for my research project. Would it be possible to attend your Diabetes support group In July (?14th). Please find a short introduction to put in your newsletter below: \nHi\, my name is Paul\, I am a Paramedic Practitioner working in a GP surgery in East Sussex specialising in Diabetes Management. I am currently working on my dissertation for my Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice and will be speaking to your group regarding a research project I am undertaking. \nI will be looking for participants to undertake a short interview asking for their views on how their diabetes self-management has been affected by the current cost of living crisis. The project will be submitted as my dissertation and also submitted for possible publication within a UK health journal. All information given will be confidential. It is hoped that if published the results will illustrate an accurate record of lived experiences for patients with diabetes during a time of spiralling living costs\, providing a basis for future health and social care policy decisions. \nFull details of the project will be discussed and any queries answered at the talk. Participant information sheets will also be provided for you to take away and read\, before making a decision to participate. \nI look forward to speaking to your group”.
