Introduction

The Bexhill Diabetes Support Group was formed in October 2011 to help the many Diabetic Patients in the Bexhill on Sea, Rother, Hastings and St. Leonards on Sea areas. It is an Independent Group and relies on fund raising, gifts, grants and donations.

Our Mission Statement:

The aim of this friendly Diabetes Group is to provide useful knowledge as well as good ideas to help our members manage their condition better with advice from interesting professional speakers at our regular monthly meetings.

We are run by a (properly constituted) Committee. Our 50+ members enjoy a range of lively guest speakers at our regular monthly meetings which are held on the 2nd TUESDAY of the month starting at 2pm (NOT August).

The Committee try to theme each meeting. The Speaker giving a talk leading to a discussion on aspects of improving members diabetes lifestyle. There will be time for refreshments, raffle, chat and for you to raise issues you would like discussed. We also offer some social group outings.

Membership is on application. We make a small admin fee currently of £10-00 per year  and we are trialling a Monthly Newsletter currently. See link to the latest Newsletter below. This allows members to keep in touch with whats going on,  even if they can’t make every meeing.

Why not come along to a meeting and bring a friend/carer and see how it would benefit your (first visit is free). Membership is welcomed for people from the entire Bexhill on Sea, Rother, Hastings and St. Leonards on Sea areas.
