News Update – January 2022
We are now back to normal on the meetings dates of every second Tuesday in the month.
We had a great time at our meeting on the 14th December. Mark did an excellent quiz, Jackie put on an excellent buffet and we had music and a raffle. Very Christmassy! Thanks to all who helped.
So, the next meeting is on Tuesday 81h February 2022 at 2pm, which will include our AGM, then 8th March 2022 at 2pm. See you all at the Bagnall Hall, Sackville Road, Bexhill on Sea.
We look forward to seeing as many of you all as possible.

Annual subscriptions also come due in February. We are keeping it a £6.00 for this year but will need to increase slightly next year onwards. You can pay at the meeting or by cheque.
Please let us have your email addresses as we are trying to reduce the amount of paper we use and postage costs.
Please let us know if you do not wish to renew and we will take you off our mailing list. Guests to pay after two complimentary visits please.
Bexhill Lions Grant Application
We have been in touch again with the Lions and are happy to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £325. This is to go towards the website update which we will be instructing shortly.
We are also looking for donations for the regular monthly meeting raffles. If you can help, please contact either Jill Hardie on 07745 600599 or Mark Knight on 07725 913138. Thanks to all those who have already donated.

Title – University Project: Type 2 Diabetes
“We are third year Psychology with Neuroscience students at University of Reading. We are conducting a final year project about Type II Diabetes and its relation to cognitive performance. Our project simply consists of an online questionnaire and a few cognitive tasks, which should take about 15-25 minutes in total.
We are contacting you to ask if it would be possible for you to help us recruit participants for our study, for example, by letting us advertise our poster in your community centres, or if possible, by letting your users know about our study. In exchange of taking part in our study, we are offering participants the chance to take part in a £20 amazon voucher prize draw.
We would be extremely grateful if you would be able to assist us in our final year project and contribute to the research of diabetes. We are looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
This is the link to access our study: https://research.sc/participant/login/dynamic/414152EE-C685-4670-B6F0-E18B291FFA1C
