All are welcome to our monthly meeting. We have a different speaker each month, with a few favourite speakers returning and some interesting new speakers. Plenty of chat, a raffle and tea & biscuits.

“Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of stroke.
Recovery is a hard slog of gruelling and repetitive therapy.
Two-thirds of people who survive a stroke find themselves living with a disability.
40% of stroke survivors experience anxiety and depression.
37% of working age stroke survivors give up work following their stroke.
6 in 10 stroke survivors rely on the help of a carer, often a family member or friend.
But there is hope. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible.
We are the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. We provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year. This support includes one-to-one and group support, funding vital scientific research into stroke prevention, acute treatment, recovery and long-term care, and campaigning to secure the best care for everyone affected by stroke.
It’s only thanks to the generosity of our supporters and donors that we can provide vital support. Together, we can make sure that all stroke survivors lead the best life possible after stroke.”
